This is the first step in my aesthetic restoration of my Jeep Wrangler YJ.
One of the previous owners was apparently a bumbling retard. They spray can rhino-lined not only the tub, but the tailgate, inside door panels, foot guards and even the fender flares and bumpers.
After the bed lining was completely removed, it was time to paint. I chose a durable indoor/outdoor paint that would also look and feel like it belonged on the inside of a (nice) vehicle, Rust-oleum Textured (for Plastic) in black.
Since I didn't want to go through the trouble of taking the panel off the door, I just masked the door off (which took a lot longer than painting) and went to it. This paint covers very evenly and has a very high solid content so it covers quickly. Once you get your painting technique down, you can get very professional looks.
This is unbelievably better than it was when I bought the Jeep. I'm thrilled about how good it looks. Complete restoration of the inside of both doors took 5 USD and a fair amount of time effort and tools (chisel, 1/2 inch wrench, T20 torx bit and ratchet)
Next step: paint the exterior. This will be done in stages, doors first, then tailgate, then hood, then finally the rest of the body. Stay tuned for before, during, and after photos of that!
also, we'll be doing a new carpet installation very soon as well.
and, if the gods smile on us, repacking the leaf springs and painting the frame/springs/shackles
This Jeep will look brand freakin new and totally custom when I'm done with it.
This one is staying gasoline. After I'm done I'm selling it, because itll be worth twice what I paid for it. Then I'm getting another one, and THAT one will most likely be converted to electric.
The panel is cracked over there. I'm going to try to fix it with an adhesive epoxy, sand it down and paint it again.

Devious Comments
So after U R done, the car will be run on gas/electric/diesel/corn/hydrogen/ or nuclear power?
(I leave out the anti-matter and dilithium crystal that used in starships on SciFi but would be great that this Jeep have warp capability)
